She was vibrant, funny, energetic, and beautiful. And I loved every minute of her session!

They just GLOWED the entire session…so much love between them, so much excitement about the journey ahead. Their connection is going to serve them well as they become parents.  As you will be able to tell from the images below, I didn’t really have fun at this session at all:

Oh, I’ve been having so much fun looking at all of your beautiful holiday cards.  I was hit with the holiday spirit something fierce this year. Maybe it’s because my boys are finally at an age where they get it, but they don’t fully get it? Or maybe it’s the unusually cool weather? Whatever it is, I’m feeling very blessed and very joyful and I hope that you, too, have an AMAZING holiday season with friends and family.

Happy Holidays and since I’m no longer in school and technically shouldn’t do this anymore because I’m a grown up: "See you next year!"

These images make me giggle and my heart melt at the same time.

I feel as though I’ve known them forever. We’ve had many, many sessions together but each one has been so unique…so different. And now that baby number 3 is on the way, I just can’t wait to see what changes this will bring to their loving family dynamic.

We held our last round of the Austin 2009 Xpressions Sessions today and all I can say is, "Wow!" I cannot even begin to tell you how beautiful all of these families were, how wonderfully charming the kiddos were, how kind and patient the parents were, and how absolutely outstanding my baby sis/assistant was. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who made these Xpressions sessions FANTASTIC!  As always, the images shown have only received basic edits to enhance contrast/color, but no full retouching.  I’ll show you an example of the difference at the end of the post.  Also, before I forget, if you’re pregnant in the Austin area and want maternity portraits and are due in February, March, or April of 2010, you can get a FREE mini maternity session (kind of like these Xpressions Sessions) in January. And, I *still* have a few spaces open for the Xpressions photo sessions in Washington, DC and Richmond, VA in December.  Meanwhile, to continue these awesome sneaks:

I love nursing images. I truly do. And when you’re lucky enough to see a moment like this, that makes my heart so very happy.  Now for more from his and other sessions…

Can you EVEN believe the pic of the three siblings together up there?!!  I seriously about fell over when everything came together and we were able to snag those!  And then baby girl in her beautiful green dress.  Her eyes are divine!

Energy. They had a lot of energy. I could have used some of their energy. Middle pic cracks me up…don’t we deal with this all the time? We finally get everyone in position and ready to roll and somebody has to make other plans, LOL. Beautiful and firey little kiddos and their session reflects that and a whole lotta love!

1. It has been a whirlwind week and it looks promising that the next few weeks will be the same. So, until we’re on the other side of holiday family portraits, I’m going to start doing "Sneak Peek Sundays." (And yes, I am aware that it’s Monday, but Sneak Peek Sundays just sounds better).  So, if you’re looking for a sneak of your session, just check in on Sundays!  When things calm down, I plan to blog each of these sessions in full.

2. Baby #1 – 6 months later and she is still one of the cutest and most smiley babies I’ve ever seen!

3. Beautiful Pregnant Model: You wouldn’t even believe what we (well, mostly she) had to go through to nail that underwater maternity shot. J – I’m SOOOO happy you persevered (dress shopping, battery drama, freezing in water, coordinating breathing and swimming and posing, wow!).

4. Baby #2: She is Amry’s new BFF.

5. Family by the water: Had a wonderful (and looooong) evening getting to hang out with her family at their beautiful home. And I am over the moon about what is going to be their Christmas Card pic!!

I’m going to *try* to just narrow it down to a few favs for the blog. But I’m not promising anything. Aren’t they a BEAUTIFUL family? And such a joy to work with them.  The kids had great personalities and everyone was game for whatever I threw at them. Truly couldn’t have asked for a better session!
