I’m totally beat (I can barely hold my head up tonight) and I should be in bed. And, I have NO business messing around with pics right now when the re-launch of my website 4 photographers is just days away, but….I had to edit just a few pics from my newborn session today. I mean, c’mon. Can you blame me?

Oh, this little one was sooooooo adorable! I don’t know what it is, though, but lately, I’ve had a whole string of wide awake newborns. Baby girl didn’t fall asleep once…but we can pretend she did. ;-)

Remember mom’s maternity session? Check back in a few months for her next session in “Baby’s First Year.” Thanks, A and family for yet another fun and beautiful session!

sigh | austin newborn photographer

It is very rare that I do something like this because light, circumstances, etc. change so much that it usually doesn’t work, but in this case? All I can say is, “…sigh.”

Tee hee.

Aren’t they all just STUNNING???!!!! Thanks you three for a great session today and working so hard to tough it out in the warmth and guests and leaky bottles. I’d say it was well worth it. ;-)

First, the fun stuff…

Isn’t this the most beautiful bundle of love you’ve ever seen???!!! Oh, she was just so perfect and snuggled into every single pose we tried perfectly.

For some reason, I just really liked this one. Mom, dad, and baby C…thank you all so much for your patience, understanding, and being the most flexible family. You all are so lovely and kind.

****

And now, a little update.  This turned out to be a very difficult and very scary week. Everything is fine now, but boy, sometimes, you get shocked back into reality and realize how precious and miraculous life truly is.

Lyndsay, thanks so much for being SO understanding and I cannot tell you enough how much your positive support helped. I hope your shoot was GREAT today and I promise you, you will get 110% of me when we do finally get together. Traci, thank you also for being flexible on such short notice. We’re going to have a great time in a few weeks.

And finally, Mom, Nini, and my amazing husband: I love you. You all are rocks. We (me and the babe) are so lucky to have you.

When this little guy’s mama contacted me, I wasn’t sure I’d be able to fit him in, but we worked it out just in time. He was so good to us and I just LOVED the house. Too many cute faces and too many beautiful places from which to choose. Must go back someday…

Glad mama talked me into this one with the pupster.

Oh, he was soooooooo good to us! Usually, it’s a bad sign when baby decides to stay awake for the session, but even wide awake, he let us pose him however we wanted. So teeny. So furry. So adorable!

Well, she’s certainly the littlest miracle I’ve ever photographed.  She came into this world 8 weeks early and was able to come home this week at around 4.5 pounds.  She is so healthy and SO lovely.  She was quite the little model for us today.  This blanket is handmade by a group of volunteers who knit blankies for NICU babies.  I know her and her mommy will treasure it always.

I had to throw this one in here!  These two shots were literally taken seconds apart.  Glad we were quick enough to get the first one!

Oh, you might recognize this couple from almost 2 years ago.  They were one of my first clients!  I just love it when things come full circle like this.  Thanks, you three, for an amazing session today!

prepare to say “awwwww…”

You did, didn’t you?  Out loud, too, I’m sure.  Because let me tell you, when I walked in and saw this beautiful little angel this morning, I’m pretty sure all I could say was, “Awwwwwwwwww!!!”

Her mama said she had red hair.  And when I got a peek, I literally gasped.

Her mama knows me so well.  She pulled out this fabric just for our visit today.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this session. Mom and dad and baby girl are completely at ease and comfortable with one another.  Just a beautiful family all around.  You’ll be seeing a lot more of Baby D in the year ahead (she’s one of my Baby’s First Year babies).  Can’t wait to see what happens with this red hair!
