We all went through a LOT to get these images (most of which involved security guards, sticker bushes, ill employees, and a slew of other mishaps), but we pulled it off. It is always such a joy and honor to get to photograph this family (they’re featured in my promo video) and I’m thrilled to meet baby #3 next year!

It’s now officially 2 a.m. and I’m glad it’s the end of this marathon posting session.  Please be kind and go back to view all 8 sneak peeks so I don’t feel so guilty tomorrow when the kids are wide awake, but I’m not. ;-)  ‘Til next Sunday…

1. Isn’t she stunning? Just naturally beautiful.

2. I’ve never done a session in the rain before, let alone the pouring rain, but somehow, it just worked.  Well, $70 worth of umbrellas, shooting under the H-E-B awning, and stumbling upon a rockin’ old barn helped us out a little.

Can you believe the incredible variety of color in Austin right now? And then there’s the variable temperature which allows for stocking caps one minute and then baby in the buff the next minute. He was thrilled to be able to explore like this and can you believe his amazing hair??? (Also from our recent Xpressions, but these images have been retouched).

It took her a little while to warm up to me and the idea of sitting in the wet grass, but all we needed was a complete stranger to walk by and start making faces at her and she was all giggles! (From a recent round of Xpressions, but these images have been retouched)

Energy. They had a lot of energy. I could have used some of their energy. Middle pic cracks me up…don’t we deal with this all the time? We finally get everyone in position and ready to roll and somebody has to make other plans, LOL. Beautiful and firey little kiddos and their session reflects that and a whole lotta love!

I was honored to be there to capture the anticipation, his emotional birth day, the newborn newness, and now here he is at 6 months old and he is 100% pure adorable baby squishyness (evidently, my computer is trying to tell me that’s not a word, but I’m here to tell you that it is).  Mom told me that he was the most easy-going baby in the world. And she is absolutely right. He didn’t cry once during the entire session.  He cooed, smiled, giggled, played, and was just plain perfect and cute in every way. No lie. Easy baby.  So many fun shots from this session and I cannot wait to finish them all!

Yes. That’s right. 1 of 8 sneaks for this week.  I’ve come up for a little bit of air because frankly, sometimes, you just gotta sit back and appreciate what all has been created over the past few months.  Like this little beauty. ;-)

ETA: I don’t want to give photographers out there the wrong impression.  My Xpressions images are not SOOC…they have received edits in ACR to enhance contrast/exposure.  What I’m referring to is the fact that they have not been retouched in Photoshop to address things like blemishes, eye brightening, dodging/burning, color saturation, sharpness, cross-processing, etc. You can read more about the difference between these digital negatives (shown above) and fully retouched images here.
