I mean really.  Don’t you just wanna?

Mel & Troy…congrats again!  It was so exciting watching all of this unfold. I was honored that you invited me to capture your new family.

It was a much needed dose of sanity and love before the holiday season takes hold.

Literally! Such a great session with a very dynamic and creative family (mom is a photog, too!!). Seriously, when are we getting together for dinner, E?

Everything about it.

The subjects, the colors, the interaction, the play, the connections. All of it.  I have to say I was the teensiest bit nervous going into this one because this wasn’t my first time with these cuties. Last summer I visited them at their home (I was about 5 months preggo at the time).  I’m always afraid I’ll lose that spontaneity when going back to same place with the same people.  And of course, my first session with them was so awesome…could we possibly do that again? Turns out, it’s the kids who make the session and yes, they were just as awesome and beautiful, although they grew like crazy over the past year, didn’t they?

He turned 4 this weekend. For the first time in his little life, I watched him *really* enjoy his birthday party. He was a most gracious host. A few more party snaps:

(FWIW, I have absolutely NO business blogging right now.  Let alone, blogging about my own kids. I should be put in time out.  In my own bed. For the next 8 hours.)

My husband’s bro and his wife are expecting their second baby. A little girl. Sigh. Amry is very excited to meet her little cousin so they can team up against the boys.  This was such a beautiful evening!

It’s hard for me to believe that it was more than 2 years ago when I photographed this little man’s older brother:

(To be honest, looking at old pictures I’ve taken is tough for me to do…my how things change!).

It was total de ja vu as I drove out to their house to meet their newest edition (although, last time I was in a sedan, this time, a mini van). I felt so honored that they asked me back and it got me to thinking about this crazy dream I had to photograph a couple’s first baby and then one day, years and years down the road, that couple’s first grandchild. Of course, I’m not quite there yet, but getting to work with this family again made me feel like this had come full circle and maybe, just maybe, my crazy dream might not be so crazy after all.

Anyway, enough dreaming about tomorrow.  Let’s see more of this beautiful baby boy and his incredibly charming big brother:

Tonight was like a dream. It’s been a long time coming, my friend.  I can’t believe it all fell together so perfectly and beautifully this evening.  Thank you.
