PINKLE TOES PHOTOGRAPHY: Summer Buggin’ ♥ Austin Kids’ Photographer
June 19th, 2009 , Posted in Anderson Family - My fam, Austin Family Photographer, Austin Kids Photographer.jpg)

I have bugs in my freezer.
Yes.
They’re not my bugs.
They belong to my boys.
They’re for collection and identification purposes.
Or so I’m told.
I don’t like having bugs in my freezer.
I do, however, like that pretty much every day this summer, the boys get up at the crack of dawn, hit the Jeep, and spend all day outside with their butterfly nets and containers trying to find the coolest bugs to study. I’m serious. They do it all day. Every day.
Knowing this new bug obsession, my mom was kind enough to get us tickets to the butterfly exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Absolutely incredible. The butterflies were stunning, the bugs were plenty, and I swear, I could have stayed all day and watched the butterflies hatching. I had NO idea how colorful and intricate the chrysalises were (above pic).
Welcome to the Anderson Homeschool, folks. I guess this is my life for the next decade or so:

This little fella here is Fred. They carried him around like a pet bird all day. I guess it could be worse. ;-)
