On the same note, I found my 10 month old eating a hard-shelled bug the other day. When I fished it out of his mouth, I was pretty sure it was supposed to have wings. sigh...

Oh my! Wonderful ages. I love the ages where they are SO eager to learn!! (As a mother of teens, I MISS those ages!!! We are now in the "That's boring" phase of adolescence...ugh!) Great captures, michele. So what kind of bug is Fred exactly?

Perfect capture of a stage of their youth! I want to go to the butterfly museum!

I also have two boys that will sit and feed a potato chip, crumb by crumb to ants just to watch them work. Luckily for them, I am a reptile and small animal girl, we handle more snakes, lizards, turtles, worms and salamanders here then my hubby or my daughter would like :). I will admit Fred freaks me out a bit...cool at a distance...but a tad freaky to hold!
