PINKLE TOES PHOTOGRAPHY: meet Twink (Austin Photographer)

December 13th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson Family - My fam, Austin Holiday Pictures, Elf on a Shelf

twink

This is "Twink." He’s our elf (on the shelf). This is his first year with our family. He’s the reason our boys are up by 6:30 a.m. every morning (grrrrr). He was tired of L’s elf having all the fun. It’s on now…

PINKLE TOES PHOTOGRAPHY: OMD. (Austin Family Photographer)

December 12th, 2008 , Posted in sneak peek

As if I wasn’t already madly in love with both of them, the hubs drove all the way into Round Rock with me to go sling shopping…for HIMSELF! I had heard great things about the Moby wrap, so following the instructions from You Tube, I tried it out it in the store. To my complete surprise, Virge said he wanted to try, too. And he did, and baby girl LOVED it. Virge walked all around the store this morning wearing his daughter in a lilac (yes, LILAC) Moby wrap. OMD. (That stands for Oh My Dog for those of you who haven’t heard me use this expression yet).

So we got one.

moby

In a more manly color.

And here’s what Virge had to say about it:
1. “I love being able to hang out with her.”
2. “This must be what it’s like to be pregnant. Wow.” (while rubbing his belly)
3. “Cool! I can still play War Craft, too!”

Well, you can’t win ‘em all. ;-)

[UT garb a silent protest to the BCS standings. Not sure if he'll ever recover from that one.]

PINKLE TOES PHOTOGRAPHY: Daddy’s turn (Austin Family Photographer)

dad

Finally was able snag Daddy (AKA Mr. Mom for the past few weeks ;-)) for a short session with his daughter. They absolutely melt my heart. A little different for my style I think, but I’ve been so inspired lately by the moodiness of Dina Marie’s recent work.

Don’t let that first image deceive you…getting that perfect picture for the Christmas cards can be challenging. But we did get it…

PINKLE TOES PHOTOGRAPHY: Their turn (Austin Kids Photographer)

kids

I know I *had* to do it, but to be honest, I was dreading trying to take a pic of all THREE kiddos together. But we gave it a try this morning. She was so patient with her big brothers. And they were so patient with me.

Oh, and check out my Christmas present to myself. ;-) www.nelleandlizzy.com.

PINKLE TOES PHOTOGRAPHY: at last (Austin Newborn Photographer)

December 5th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson Family - My fam, Austin Baby Photographer, Austin Newborn Photographer

atlast

I’ve always wanted to do these kind of squishy newborn-propped-up-on-the-arms pics, but I’ve *never* been able to pull it off. It takes a lot of patience for sure. But, my little angel let me do this today and I’m giddy! You know what really struck me, though? How much she’s filled out in just a few days. She’s getting that heavenly layer of baby fat. It’s so amazing how quickly they change at this age! You’d think this was my first baby or something. Or perhaps it’s because I know how fast it goes by and I don’t want to miss/forget a second of it.

PINKLE TOES PHOTOGRAPHY: Mama’s gonna need a bigger album (Austin Baby Photographer)

day-6

My camera is glad to finally see some action other than inanimate objects around the house. ;-)
Mobile shot totally inspired by Heleen.
Last shot from her afternoon sunbathing session. I think we’ve finally conquered the jaundice!

Thank you all for your kind comments and well wishes! For those that have mentioned that I must be “supermom” to be up and taking pics already with two other kids: oh, that couldn’t be further from the truth. My hubby is home and helping out tremendously. It doesn’t hurt that the boys have been back to preschool, too. I’m not supermom. This glorious time will all end way too soon when hubs goes back to work. ;-)

ETA: Holy moly, look what I just stumbled upon?????

Lyndsay left me this from Amry’s Birth Day. Isn’t this an incredible shot???? I can’t believe I missed it earlier. Thank you so much Lyndsay!!!!! I love it! (L just so happens to be at another birth right now. Some girls have all the luck! I can’t wait to start doing births again…just not my own;-))
