PINKLE TOES PHOTOGRAPHY: The reveal (Austin Photographer)

Thanks to all of your comments yesterday (and a few that sneaked in this morning), we’re just about to write a check for $980 to Texas CASA! I promised myself I’d commit to $10/comment…little did I know ;-), but how exciting! Thanks so much for all of the kind comments and for helping out an organization that is dear to my heart!
CASA’s are Court Appointed Special Advocates for children who’ve suffered abuse and neglect. Find a CASA program near you and learn more about what you can do to lend a hand: www.becomeacasa.org (this site is Texas-based, but you can search nationally on there as well).

I missed yesterday’s post,t oo. I LOVE Casa’s! We were foster parents when we lived in the U.S. and, as adoptive parents, had a wonderful CASA worker that made all the difference in our lives.

How wonderful :) I did an organizational analysis of the local one for a grad school project a few year ago — one day I hope to have the time to actually volunteer for them.

You are too generous! To know such a creative, thoughtful and innovative person like youself has always inspired me to look ahead, not backwards. Michele,
Wow! What a very special surprise to receive your generous gift! We truly appreciate your thoughtfulness and all you do to promote CASA and the excellent job our volunteers across the state do to ensure abused and neglected children have a voice on their journey to a safe, permanent home. Thank you so much for your leadership on this, and we thank everyone who posted a comment to help make this gift possible. On behalf of abused and neglected children all over Texas, we salute you!
